PPG-15 STEARYL ETHER: PPG-15 Stearyl Ether is a polypropylene glycol ether of stearyl alcohol. PPG 15 Stearyl Ether is the same compound as PPG 11 Stearyl Ether, where the 11 or 15 represents the ‘units’ of propylene glycol produced in the reaction between Propylene Oxide and Stearyl Alcohol (which is derived from animal fats and oils). It is often used in skin care, deodorant and antiperspirant products as an emollient.

It is CIR approved in concentrations from 2% – 10%, but not to exceed 25%.
